Cleaning and Maintenance

The mill is maintenance-free when used properly. It cleans itself through the grinding operation. Should
damp material clog the works. empty the mill. Then mill about 100 g wheat coarsely. which was dried
beforehand for an hour in the oven at 100°C.
If there is no improvement, remove the wing nut (4). Hold the millstone (5) firmly at the bottom and turn the
crank (3) anticlockwise until you can remove the millstone. Now you can clean both stones using a brush
with hard bristles. Please never clean the stones moist or wet.
Guarantee
Schnitzer grain mills are robust and reliable. The millstones are self-sharpening. As a rule they are
distinguished by a service life lasting decades.
Should nevertheless some fault arise which cannot be rectified. please return the mill to your specialist
dealer together with the invoice (with date of purchase) or send it directly to us.
We offer a guarantee of two years from the purchase date. Within the guarantee period we shall remedy free
of charge all faults due to material defects or manufacturing defects, by repair or by replacement of parts or
replacement of the mill as a whole at our choice.
It is recommended that the flour be used immediately in order
that the active substances it contains are preserved in full.
