Special safety instructions

The probe and cord may only be used at
temperatures below 250 °C. Never place the
probe or cord under the grill or in the oven if
the actual temperature is above 250 °C.

Inserting the batteries

Open the battery cover on the rear of the
meat thermometer. Insert 2 new 1.5 V AAA
batteries. Align the batteries correctly, as
shown in the battery compartment. Replace
the battery cover.
To use as a meat thermometer
Insert the connectors from the probes into
the sockets on the meat thermometer.
Push the required probe into the middle of
the meat (at the thickest point). Make sure
not to go right through the meat.
The probe must not be close to any bones in
the meat.
The probe must not be exposed to a naked
fl ame.
Push the Off /Timer/Cook button to the
COOK position (B3) to switch the meat
thermometer on.
Press the P1/P2 button (A4) to choose the
required probe.
Press the MEAT/START/STOP button (A7) to
select the desired meat type as shown in the
chart.

The target temperature for the selected meat
type is then shown in the display.
If you select Own setting, you can adjust the
target temperature by pressing the MIN/UP
and SEC/DOWN buttons.
Once the meat has reached the target
temperature, the alarm sounds. Press any
button to turn off the alarm.
Changing the measurement unit
Press the °C/°F button to switch temperature
display in Celsius (B4) and Fahrenheit (B5).
To use as a timer
Push the Off /Timer/Cook button to the
TIMER position (B2) to switch the meat
thermometer on and use it as a timer.
Press the MIN/UP button one or more times
to set the number of minutes between 1 and
99.
Press the SEC/NED button one or more times
to set the number of seconds between 1 and
59.
Press the MEAT/START/STOP button to
start the countdown. Once the set time has
elapsed, the alarm will sound. Press any
button to turn off the alarm.
You can cancel the set time by pressing the
MIN/UP and SEC/NED buttons.
