General information and technical data:
The EX2 series of Expansion valves has been
optimised to operate with the EC2 Electronic
Display Case Controllers although it can be
activated via any controller using Pulse width
modulation. When operated via the EC2 series, a
24VAC coil is required (order separately).
• Connection sizes (ODF):
EX2-M00 metric: 10 mm inlet, 12 mm outlet,
EX2-I00 imperial: 3/8" inlet,1/2" outlet.
• Maximum working pressure : 40 bar
• Test pressure PT: 44 bar
• Medium temperature: -40 .. +65°C
• Marking:
• Compatibility :
Refrigerants: R22, R404A, R507, R134a,
R407C, R744 (subcritical application), R502, and
R12. Not suitable for R11 or Ammonia.
Oils: Mineral, Alkyl benzene and ester lubricants.

Beschreibung und technische Daten:
Das Expansionsventil EX2 wurde speziell für den
Einsatz mit dem Controller EC2 entwickelt, kann
aber auch von allen anderen Controllern mit
Pulsweitenmodulation gesteuert werden. Für den
Einsatz mit EC2 wird eine 24 VAC Spule benötigt
(bitte separat bestellen).
• Anschlüsse (ODF):
EX2-M00 metrisch: 10 mm Eintritt,
12 mm Austritt,
EX2-I00 zöllig: 3/8" Eintritt,1/2" Austritt
• Max. Betriebsüberdruck: 40 bar
• Testdruck: 44 bar
• zul. Medientemperatur: -40 .. +65°C
• Medienverträglichkeit:
Kältemittel: R22, R404A, R507, R134a, R407C,
R744 (subkritische Anwendung), R502 und R12.
Nicht zugelassen für R11 und Ammoniak.
Öle: Mineral-, Alkylbenzol- und Esteröle.

Mounting location: Mounting location:
• The EX2 should be installed in a position, which •
allows the enclosing tube to be above the
horizontal axis (preferred: vertical position ± 45°).
If the enclosing tube is lower than the body of the
valve, oil may accumulate causing inconsistent
operation.
• An optional ADK filter drier mounted upstream of •
the valve is recommended to enhance system
performance.

Ankerrohr oberhalb der Horizontalen liegt (am
Besten ±45° von der Senkrechten). Liegt es
unterhalb des Ventilkörpers, kann sich Öl
ansammeln und zu einer Fehlfunktion führen.
• • Zur Erhöhung der Systemsicherheit empfehlen wir
vor dem Ventil einen ADK Filtertrockner
einzubauen.
