Field of application:
The TZU 22-01 helps to adjust terrestrial TV- and Radio antennas. If the device
is used for other purposes, no warranty is given!
Display and control elements:
Installation and power supply:
 Before installation make sure, that all devices are cut-off from mains!
 Furthermore be carefull to connect the two devices (antenna and receiver)
to the equivalent marked connectors of the DVB-T Finder.
With a battery or an external power supply (1):
The TZU 22-01 can either be operated a) with a PP3 (9 volt) battery or b) with

an external 5-12V DC power supply with 3,5 mm jack plug (battery and power
supply not included in delivery).
Remote power fed from a DVB-T receiver (2):
On/off
The TZU 22-01 can also be remote power fed from a DVB-T receiver (in case the
receiver can supply 5V).
 The TZU 22-01 must be positioned between antenna and DVB-T receiver.
Operation indicator
With power inserter (3):
In case an active antenna (with amplifier) like the TAA 3-0x is used, this

antenna must be remote power fed with an external power supply via a DC
power inserter.
 Make sure, the power inserter is positioned between TZU 22-01 and
antenna. For security reasons the TZU 22-01 does not have a DC power pass,
the antenna can´t be remote fed from the receiver, while the TZU 22-01 is
connected!

Adjustment of the antenna:
 When using the TZU 22-01 shown in example (1) via battery or with
separate power supply, kindly switch the unit „ON" and the red LED will
be illuminated.
 When using the TZU 22-01 shown in example (2 or 3) activate first the
5V-supply of your receiver by studying its manual.
 Please rotate the DVB-T antenna slowly and horizontally around your
mast or fixation. Carefully watch at your green LEDs of the TZU 22-01.
The brighter they shine, the better is the reception quality.
 After this you should also adjust the vertical position as long as you
receive its best reception level.
 After the adjustment finally fix the antenna firmly to the mast and
remove the DVB-T finder. You can now connect the DVB-T receiver with
the DVB-T antenna and start the search function of your DVB-T receiver
(study your receiver manual).
