Safety instructions

Read the following instructions carefully before using the device. Keep these operating instructions in a safe place.
CAUTION! Risk of physical injury to people and animals and material damage if used incorrectly!
• Ensure that the device is only used be people who have the professional skills required to do so. • Keep out of the reach of children and frail people. • The surface of the internal
heating plate (2) warms up and gets hot. • Do not place the trough on surfaces or objects that are sensitive to heat. • Ensure that no flammable or easily combustible materials are
placed near the trough. • Check the operating voltage specified on the mains plug. Only operate the device at the mains voltage specified. • If technical data on the underside of the
trough (type plate) is or becomes illegible, do not use it. • For the safety of humans, animals and property, the device must only be connected to mains sockets that are fused
separately with a residual current circuit breaker (RCCB). • Route all electrical supply cables so that they are protected against biting or gnawing. Only use gnaw/bite-proof materials.
• Do not allow electrical supply cables to come into contact with oil or sharp edges. • Check the function of the heatable trough before the first frost. • Do not use the trough if parts
of the casing or supply cable are damaged. • Do not try to repair a damaged supply cable yourself. The supply cable can only be replaced by the manufacturer. • Do not pull the plug
out of the socket using the cable and do not carry the trough around by its cable. • Always remove the mains plug from the socket before moving or cleaning the trough. • Do not
immerse in water. • Note the maintenance and cleaning instructions. • The bottom protective cover (3) should only be opened by experienced professionals. • Only heat the device if
there is a risk of frost. • The trough must be filled up with fresh water every day and checked to ensure it is free from frost
Correct use
The heatable trough is used to provide a frost-free supply of water for small animals. Any other use shall be deemed incorrect. In the event of the incorrect use of, tampering with or
modifications to the device, the manufacturer's warranty and liabilities shall be deemed invalid.

Function
The trough contains an electric heating conductor (2) that evenly warms up the drinking bowl from underneath. The trough can be used indoors and out. While the trough remains
supplied with electricity, the water will be warmed up - i.e. only connect it up if there is a risk of frost!
The water is maintained frost-free down to an outside temperature of up to minus 20 degrees.
Setup and commissioning
Proceed as follows:
1. Check the trough for damage.
2. Required cut-out dimensions in the grille for the bowls approx. W 6.0 x H 5.5 cm.
3. Remove the bottle (1) from the fixing clip (8) and fill it with water. (A)
4. Slip the drinking bowl (6) onto the bottle (B) and in a quick movement rotate it 180 degrees. (C + D)
5. Place the trough on the grille and secure with the sheet straps (7).
6. Attach the cable out of the reach of animals in order to protect it from being bitten / gnawed!
7. Connect the mains plug to the 230 V power socket. After a short while, the heat can be felt.
8. To switch off the heating, pull the plug out of the mains socket.

Maintenance and cleaning

CAUTION! Risk of physical injury to people and animals and material damage
• Only perform maintenance and cleaning work when the mains plug is disconnected.
When carrying out cleaning and maintenance work, note the following instructions:
• Keep the device free from dust and soiling.
• Only clean the device with a soft cloth or damp towel. The cloth or towel should be free of petrol and / or solvents, since these can attack or damage the trough.
• Never immerse the trough in water or clean it with a water jet.
• If the bottom protective cover (3) is filled with water, disconnect the mains plug and allow all parts to dry.
