Use these lines to measure the freezing temperature of the corresponding
glycol-water mix and the specific weight of the battery acid.
Maintenance:
Please use the cloth inside the test case to clean the device after every
measurement to ensure a long and reliable service life. In case the prism
surface (A) needs extra cleaning (i.e. after not drying it properly), use
white spirit on a cloth to wipe it. Do not wash the device under running
water since it is splash-proof but not water-proof. The device is cali-
brated by opening the lid, dripping 1-2 drops of distilled water on the
prism surface (A) and closing the lid again. Now hold the end of the
refractometer towards the light. Align the lines (B) to the water line
using a small screwdriver (0-line). The device is now calibrated.
