WARNING: Mal-function or loss of memory may be caused by strong frequency interference or
electrostatic discharge. Should any abnormal function occur, first turn off the product (ON/OFF switch on
"OFF" position) and then remove the battery and insert it again.

Location of controls

This part explains the controls and display data shown (and numbered) on the diagrams displayed on
page 3 of this manual.
1 – USB / LINE-IN port;
2 – Headphones socket;
Note: although the Portable Music Box is equiped with two speakers, it can also be used with
headphones.
CAUTION: Too high volume, especially when using headphones, can damage your hearing. For this
reason, please turn the volume down before connecting the headphones.
3 – ON/OFF switch;
4 – Lithium battery compartment;
5 – SD card slot;
6 – I<< Previous audio file/search backward (hold the key)/navigate within the menu (left/up);
7 – >II Playback/pause an audio file;
8 – >>I Next audio file/search forward (hold the key)/navigate within the menu (right/down);
9 – VOL + Increase volume;
10 – MODE Mode selection/EQUALIZER settings/confirm a selection (within the menu);
11 – VOL- Decrease volume;
12 – Number of the playing audio file;
13 – Playback mode;
14 – Subtitles displayed

– subtitles will be displayed if LRC file is detected;
15 – Elapsed time since the beginning of the audio file playback;
16 – Audio file name;
17 – Total amount of audio files;
18 – Format of the playing audio file;
19 – Location of the playing audio file;
20 – Battery charge indicator;
21 – Total duration of the playing audio file.

Operation

Menu Modes
Press MODE to access the menu (maintain the key pressed when a function is already activated), and
then use arrow keys (I<< and >>I) to navigate within the menu. Press MODE again to select one of the
following functions:
CALENDAR: Use the arrow keys (I<< and >>I) to reach the desired date.
Note: press once to scroll through dates by day, and hold the key to scroll through dates by month and
year.
MUSIC: See the part named "Location of controls" to manipulate the audio files.
Note No.1: to be able to play music from the SD card, first connect it to a computer and copy the
desired audio files. Then reinsert the SD card into the Portable Music Box.
Note No.2: the Portable Music Box automatically enters "MUSIC" mode as soon as it detects audio files
on the SD card.
Note No.3: to access the SD card index and manipulate the audio files (suppression, selection of a new
file) while another file is playing, first pause the playback (>II), and then press MODE.
RECORDER: Press MODE to start recording, Pause (>II) to pause and/or repeat it, and hold MODE
to save it.
Note: SD card has to be inserted in the Portable Music Box to use this function.
