To get the best out of your new appliance, please read this
user guide carefully before using it for the first time. We also
recommend that you keep the instructions for future reference,
so that you can remind yourself of the functions of your
appliance.
Safety measures
1. I ncorrect use of this appliance may cause personal injury
and damage.
2. U se for its intended purpose only. The manufacturer is
not responsible for any injury or damage resulting from
incorrect use or handling (see also Guarantee Terms).
3. For connection to 230 V, 50 Hz only.
4. For domestic use only. Not for outdoor or commercial use.
5. T he appliance, cord or plug must not be placed in water or
any other liquid.
6. N ever touch the appliance, cord or plug with wet or damp
hands.
7. N ever leave the appliance unattended when it is switched
on.
8. T his appliance is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of the appliance by a person responsible for their
safety.
C hildren should be supervised to ensure that they do not
play with the appliance.
9. D o not allow the cord to hang over the edge of a table/
counter, and keep it away from hot objects and naked
flames.
10. N ever try to bypass the built-in safety lock. Starting the
appliance can be very dangerous if the lid is not correctly
fitted.
11. D o not allow to run for more than approx. 30 seconds at a
time. If the appliance has run for 30 seconds, allow to cool
for 1 minute before using again.
12. N ever remove the lid while the blades are rotating. Wait
until they are completely stopped.
13. R emove the plug from the socket before removing the lid
from the appliance before cleaning, when not in use or
cleaning.
14. A void pulling the cord when removing the plug from the
socket. Instead, hold the plug.
15. C heck regularly that neither cord nor plug is damaged and
do not use if they are, or if the appliance has been dropped
or damaged in any other way.
16. I f the appliance or plug is damaged, it must be inspected
and if necessary, repaired by an authorised repair engineer,

otherwise there is a risk of electric shock. Never try to
repair the appliance yourself.
17. P lease contact the store where you bought the appliance for
repairs under guarantee.

USING THE APPLIANCE

Before using for the first time, or after prolonged storage
without use, wash any parts that will come into contact with
food.
• P lace the appliance on a flat surface. Check the cord is in the
incision in the base (9) to avoid the appliance standing on it.
• R emove the lid by turning anticlockwise until the arrow (1) is
aligned with the open symbol (2).
• F ill with coffee beans. The appliance can grind up to 50 g of
beans at a time.
• R eplace the lid and check the lock tab (4) fits into the groove
(6).
• T urn the lid clockwise until the arrow is aligned with the lock
symbol (3).
• Plug in and switch the power on.
