should. The AV‐10 provides this "SLS TIME
CHECK ?" function to measure the actual
suppression time. The AV‐10 sends out a SLS
pulse pair then sends either a mode A or C
inquiry, as you select. The time between the SLS
pulse pair and the inquiry is adjustable by you.
SO by adjusting the delay time until the reply
percentage begins to fall, the transponder
suppression time is determined. The top LCD
line display's the squawk code and reply
percentage. The bottom line display's the delay
time in micro seconds. Use the left and right
keys to change the delay time.
e) sends A/C/S ALL‐CALL and READs mode‐S
reply message. ATCRBS MODE‐A/C transponders
will send a normal MODE‐A reply. MODE‐S
transponders will send an S reply. The AV‐10 will
display the HEX Aircraft ID and a all 0's CRC error
code for good received S reply's. The AV‐10
sends 1030MHz P1 and P3 pulses spaced 8.0uS
apart. A 1.6uS wide P4 pulse is sent 2.0uS after
P3. The reply from an old ATCRBS transponder is
ignored by the AV‐10.
f) sends ATCRBS only ALL‐CALL message,
The AV‐10 sends MODE‐A 1030MHz P1 and
P3 pulses spaced 8.0uS apart. The 0.8 uS P4
pulse is sent 2.0uS after P3. The mode‐S
trandponder should not reply due to the short
P4 pulse. The AV‐10 looks for eronious mode‐s
reply's. When working with an old ATCRBS
transponder the top LCD line will display the
squawk code and F1 pulse width while line 2
shows "OK; no S reply". When testing a MODE‐S
unit the top LCD line should display "SQ=0000
F1=(small)". The second line should be the same
"OK; no S reply". If the AV‐10 finds a MODE‐S all‐
call reply then it will display "MODE‐S ERROR" on
LCD line 1 and "ALL‐CALL REPLY" on line 2.
wirklich im Suppression Mode ist. Der AV‐10
unterstützt die „SLS TIME CHECK ?"
untere Zeile die Verzögerung in us. Mit der
linken/rechten Taste kann die Verzögerungszeit
verändert werden.
e) Senden von A/C/S ALL‐CALL und Lesen der
Mode‐S Antworten des Transponders. ATCRBS
MODE‐A/C Transponder senden normalerweise
eine Mode‐A Antwort. Mode‐S Transponder
antworten mit einem Mode‐S Reply. Der AV‐10
zeigt den HEX Aircraft Code an und auch alle CRC
Fehler Codes bei vollständig empfangenen
Mode‐S Antworten. Der AV‐10 sendet P1 und P3
Impulse in einem Abstand von 0,8us auf einer
Frequenz von 1030 MHz.Ein P4 Impulse mit
einer Breite von 1,6us wird mit einem Abstand
von 2us nach dem P3 Impuls gesendet. Die
Antwort eines alten nicht Mode‐S fähigen
Transponder wird hierbei ignoriert.
f) Sendet ATCRBS nur ALL‐CALL Message
Der AV‐10 sendet mit einer Frequenz von 1030
MHz MODE‐A P1 und P3 Impulse mit einem
Abstand von 8 us. Der 0,8 us P4 Impulse wird 2
us nach dem P3 Impuls gesendet. Der Mode‐S
Transponder antwortet nicht aufgrund des
kurzen P4 Impulses. Der AV‐10 wartet auf
irgendwelche verwertbaren Mode‐S
Informationen. Bei einem nicht Mode‐S
Transponder wird in der ersten Zeile des Displays
der Squawk Code und die F1 Pulsebreite
angezeigt. In der zweiten Zeile wird „OK; no S
reply" angezeigt. Handelt es sich um einen
Mode‐S Transponder, wird in der ersten Zeile
des AV‐10 Displays „SQ=0000 und F1=(small)"
angezeigt. Die zweite Zeile zeigt „OK; no S reply".
Empfängt der AV‐10 eine verwertbare „Mode‐S
all call reply" Information, dann wird in der
oberen Zeile des Displays „MODE‐S ERROR" und
in der unteren „ALL‐CALL REPLY" angezeigt.
