Use telephone cables with RJ-11 connectors to connect your existing PSTN (Public
Switched Telephone Network) outlet to the FXO interface card on the X6004.
Use telephone cables with RJ-48 connectors to connect ISDN phones and basic rate ISDN
phone lines to the BRI interface card on the X6004.
Use telephone cables with RJ-48 connectors to connect your existing T1/E1 ISDN outlet to
the PRI interface card on the X6004.
4 Connect one end of the supplied power cable or power adaptor to the power receptacle
on the X6004 and the other end to the appropriate power source.
3.1 LEDs
The PWR LED turns on and stays on when the X6004 is receiving power.
The SYS LED blinks during boot up and stays on when the X6004 is ready.
Boot up takes several minutes. You must wait until the SYS LED stops
blinking and is shining steadily before proceeding.
The WAN and LAN LEDs turn on when the ports detect an Ethernet connection (green =
10 Mbps, orange = 100 Mbps). They blink when data is being transmitted.
The SYS LED on an extension card turns on when the IP PBX detects that the card is
properly installed.
4 Web Configurator Login
You can use the LAN or the WAN port to connect securely to the X6004 using HTTPS.
Use Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher and ensure that you allow Javascript
and ActiveX to execute on Internet Explorer. (See the appendices in the
user's guide for details.)
1 Log in to the web configurator using HTTPS. If
you are connecting through the LAN port, go to
https://192.168.1.12
https://172.16.1.1
(default LAN IP address) or
(default WAN IP address).
