WARNING
y Only refill the glue gun gas tank when the glue
gun is cool and with the flame extinguished,
otherwise there is a risk of gas igniting. After
using the glue gun, allow it to thoroughly cool
down before refilling it.
PROCEDURE FOR FILLING THE GLUE
GUN WITH GAS
1. First check that the gas inflow control
mechanism is set to position „O" (see fig. 2).
2. Turn the glue gun upside down with the valve
pointing upwards and insert the tube of the
cigarette lighter gas container into the glue
gun's gas tank refill valve and then push the gas
container in the direction of the arrow as shown
in fig. 3a towards the glue gun, which will com-
press the refill valve and the glue gun gas tank
will be filled with gas. Do not refill the gas in
the opposite position of the glue gun and
gas container as shown in fig. 3b.
Note:
y The gas refill valve of the glue gun is not equi-
pped with an external removable seal that the
user can check or replace in the event of a leak.
3. The gas tank of the glue gun is completely filled
with gas when liquefied gas starts escaping
out of the gas refill valve. When this happens,
EN
immediately remove the gas refill container and
cease refilling the gas. The gas refill valve of the
glue gun will automatically close itself when
the gas container is removed from the gas refill
valve. Do not attempt to fill the glue gun with
more gas since it will leak out and could result in
a fire!
Note:
y In the event that after inserting the gas contai-
ner tube into the gas refill valve the gas tank
of the glue gun is not being filled, check that
the gas container tube is pushing down the gas
refill valve. If the gas refill valve is not pushed
down, place a suitable tube adapter on to the
gas container, which comes with cigarette
lighter gas containers. In the event that even
after using a different tube adapter the gas
refill valve is not pressed down, check that it is
possible to push down the gas refill valve using
the tip of a pen. If the gas refill valve cannot be
pushed down, the gas refill valve is faulty and,
therefore, do not use the glue gun.
4. After refilling the gas tank of the glue gun with
gas, stand the glue gun on the stand as shown
in fig. 2 and wait a few minutes before igniting
the flame to ensure that the gas inside the gas
tank of the glue gun has stabilised.

V. Igniting the flame
and preparing for use
1. Hold the hot melt glue gun by the handle.
2. Set the gas inflow control mechanism (fig. 1, posi-
tion 6) to position („-"). When set to this position
the gas flow into the glue gun will be audible.
3. Press the ignition button (fig. 1, position 9) to
light the flame. In the event that the flame does
not ignite after pressing the ignition button
once, repeat the ignition procedure.
After igniting the flame, the ceramic elements
inside the glue gun will heat up, and as a result
after a few moments a visible orange light will be
seen in the verification window (fig. 1, position 10).
4. Place the glue gun in the stand and allow the
glue gun to heat up to operating temperatures,
which is indicated by the end of heating (after
approx. 1.5 min.) and there will only be a small
pilot flame inside the glue gun, which will
automatically ignite the heating flame when the
temperature falls. While it is heating up, do not
place the glue gun in any other position than
in the stand. After it heats up, it is possible to
continue using the glue gun in any position.
5. Insert a melt glue stick of the prescribed dia-
meter into the glue gun (fig. 1, position 3) and
press, repeatedly if necessary, the extension
41
lever (fig. 1, position 7), so that the stick enters
inside the glue gun and glue starts to flow out of
the glue outlet nozzle (fig.1, position 1).
•
ATTENTION
y Only insert the type of melt glue stick that is
intended for the glue gun. Prior to use, check
that the type of melt glue is suitable for gluing
the given material
6. In the periods between gluing or during longer
breaks, place the glue gun in the stand.
PREPARING THE GLUED SURFACE
y The surfaces that are to be glued together must
first be thoroughly cleaned and degreased. Do
not use flammable solvents for cleaning. When
applying the hot melt glue, the remaining sol-
vents could ignite.
y Ensure that the surfaces are dry prior to applying
the glue.
y Roughen up smooth surfaces prior to gluing.
VI. Gluing procedure
y Ensure that the ambient temperature and the
temperature of the glued materials is in the tem-
perature range from +5 °C to +45 °C. A surface
that is too cold results in very fast setting of
