The operating time of the heat gun (gas consumption) per single tank depends on ambient temperature.
In a cold ambient environment, gas consumption will be higher and the operating time per single tank
shorter.

IV. Filling the glue gun
with gas
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILLING
THE GLUE GUN WITH GAS
•
WARNINGS
y Fill the gas-powered glue gun with gas in a well
ventilated room with a sufficient supply of fresh
39
air, preferably outdoors away from any ignition
sources such as open flames, pilot burner, elect-
ric or gas heaters, electric cigarette lighters and
without the presence of other people. Do not
smoke when filling. Risk of fire or explosion! The
gas is highly flammable and explosive!
y Before filling the glue gun with gas, the glue gun
must be turned off and cooled down.
y Only cigarette lighter gas, commonly sold
in tobacconist stores, may be use for filling
the glue gun.
y When filling with gas, use safety glasses and
sufficiently thick leather gloves. When filling the
glue gun with gas, excess gas will be released,
which if it comes into contact with skin could
result in burns or cause eye damage as a result of
the extreme cooling effects of the gas resulting
from its evaporation. Due to the expansion of gas
in the refillable gas tank, the tank will be super-
cooled and this could result in skin injury due to
local supercooling - gloves must be worn.
y Refill the gas away from the face to prevent acci-
dentally spraying the face with liquefied gas!
y When using, handling and storing the
cigarette lighter gas container, follow the
safety instructions provided on the gas
container.
