• Keep a minimum distance of 59 in to inflammable materials when you use the Petromax Atago.
• Never leave the Atago unattended while in use.

• Keep out of reach of children and animals.
• Do not move the Petromax Atago when in use or hot.
• Wait until the ashes are completely cold before removing them. Do not use water to extinguish
burning charcoal.
• Have a bucket of sand or a powder fire extinguisher nearby in case of emergency.
• Always wear heat resistant and fireproof gloves when using the Atago and when regulating the
airflow (or the temperature). We recommend the Petromax Aramid Pro 300 Gloves. Use barbecue
tongs such as the Petromax BBQ and Coals Tongs.
• Always wear appropriate clothes. Avoid wearing long, loose sleeves because they can easily catch fire.
• The warranty does not cover improper use or misuse of the Petromax Atago. Such use invalidates
the warranty.
