Instructions for Use
Auto Mix Cartridges:
1. Select and/or prepare a rigid tray of sufficient size which provides at least
2-3 mm thickness of space for impression material.
2. Apply Correct VPS™ Tray Adhesive to the tray and allow to air dry for 5
minutes. Adhesive should also be used with perforated trays.
3. Load auto mix cartridges into impression guns, both wash and tray
material of choice.
4. Dispose of sealing cap at front end of dual cartridge and extrude 1/4 inch
of material to ensure that equal amounts of material are dispensed.
Discard. Wipe end of cartridge clean. Attach auto-mix tip. Attach an
intraoral tip to the wash material mixing tip.
Note: Mixing Tips are for single patient use only, to prevent cross-
contamination between patients.
5. Dry the field and place cotton rolls.
6. Place your heavy viscosity of choice into impression tray (or see below for
Putty mixing instructions, and place putty into tray). See table below
for specific minimum working times.
7. Remove cotton rolls. Inject syringe mix around tooth preparations. Seat
tray.
8. Retain impression in position until set. See table below for specific
maximum intraoral setting times.
9. Remove the impression from the mouth.
10. Rinse thoroughly under water and disinfect. The impression can be
disinfected by soaking it in Glutaraldehyde or other proper disinfectant
solutions. Follow the manufacturer's directions.
