INSTALLATION AND OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
We are delighted that you have purchased this PIR detector. This detector is constructed and test to IP44 and is suitable for outdoor use. Please read the
instructions before installation and retain for future reference.
IMPORTANT
Never modify the unit; there are no any user serviceable parts inside. Not suitable for use with dimmer switches. Install in accordance with I.E.C. Wiring Regulations. IF IN DOUBT,
WE RECOMMEND YOU TO CONSULT A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN.

POSITIONING THE UNIT

When selecting the mounting position take into account the following points:
1. The sensor is designed for optimum performance when mounted 2.5m above ground level.
2. Avoid positioning close to trees or shrubs which may cause false triggering during wet, windy weather.
3. Avoid pointing at or positioning close to heat sources such as flu's or heat extraction units, which may cause false triggering.
4. Avoid pointing at bright lights as unit will not function when you set Lux control level to dark.
5. Avoid mounting at strong electromagnetic disturbance, which may cause false triggering.
6. The sensor is most sensitive to movement across the detection area as opposed to directly towards or away from the unit. Position the unit to point across flow areas.

FITTING THE UNIT
Before commencing any electrical work, ensure mains supply cables are isolated by switching
off and removing the relevant fuse.
1. Remove the mounting plate using a screwdriver, then fix the mounting plate to the mounting
surface with mounting screws and rawl plugs (supplied). See Figure A.
2. Unscrew the 4 pieces back cover screws and remove the terminal block. Please not missing the
rubber rings and gasket rubber. See Figure B.
3. Loosen the gland screw and rubber, connecting the main power wire and load wire to the terminal
block (see relative symbol). Please note that the power wire and load wire must pass through
the gland and gland rubber. See Figure B.
4. Re-fix the terminal block and gland and screw the glad tighten.
5. Re-screw the back cover (two pieces) not missing the rubber rings and gasket rubber.
6. Re-fit the PIR body to the mounting plate. Put the body on the relative position and then push
it toward right hand. See Figure C.
After finishing the fitting, you can adjust your detector for desired work state.
WALK TESTING
You can test the operation of the unit by walking within the detection area and alter your desired
detection area. The sensor has a Lux adjustment convenient to do "walk testing" during daylight.
To test the sensor in daylight, you should rotate the LUX knob to light position (Sun). When you
walk slowly within its detection area the sensor can detect moving invisible infra-red radiation
given off by a human body and then turn on the load light. Test the coverage area by walking
slowly around until not to switch on the light.
Note: That the light will remain a period once it's on, you must wait until the light is off, then you
can test it once more. We suggest that you should place the TIME knob to the position of minimum
period (-) during walk testing.
After finishing the walk testing you can set the required work state of sensor such as duration
time and Lux control level.
ADJUSTING THE DURATION TIME
The length of time that remains switched on after activation can be adjusted from (10±5) seconds
to (4±1) minutes. Rotating the TIME knob from (+) to (-) will reduce the duration time.
Note: Once the light has been triggered by the PIR sensor any subsequent detection will start the
timed period again from the beginning.
ADJUSTING THE LUX CONTROL LEVEL
The Lux control module has a built-in sensing device (photocell) that detects daylight and darkness.
(Sun) position denotes that the loading will be turned on by PIR during day and night. (Moon)
position represents that the loading will be turned on by PIR only at night. You can set to operate
the unit at the desired level by adjusting the LUX knob.
ATTENTION
1. Before commencing any electrical work, ensure mains supply cable are isolated by switching
off and removing the relevant fuse.
2. There are not any servicing parts by supplied, not attempt to modify or service the unit.
3. It is normal that the load will delay several seconds to be turned on when power on.
