Charging
Plug the cable supplied into the micro-USB
socket (6) on the meat thermometer, and
plug the other end into a separate USB
power supply (not included).
Switch the meat thermometer on using the
on/off button (5).
When all segments in the battery/charge
indicator (4) are visible, the battery is fully
charged.
Inserting the probe
The probe and cord may only be used at
temperatures below 250 °C. Never place the
probe or cord under the grill or in the oven if
the actual temperature is above 250 °C.
Push the probe into the middle of the meat
(at the thickest point). Make sure not to go
right through the meat.
The probe must not be close to any bones in
the meat.
The probe must not be exposed to a naked
� ame.
Use without app
Insert the connector from the probe into the
socket (7) on the meat thermometer.
Switch the meat thermometer on using the
on/off button (5).
Press the SET button (2). The display
background light shines red.
Press the + and - buttons (3 and 4) to set the
target temperature. Press the SET button to
con� rm. The display background light shines
green brie� y.
The display shows the current temperature
and the set target temperature.
Press the - button to switch between Celsius
and Fahrenheit.
Press the + button to switch the background
light on.
The colour of the display background light
varies depending on how close the current
temperature is to the target temperature.
Colour Indicates
Green 20 °C below target temperature
Blue 10 °C below target temperature
Red Target temperature exceeded
The background light turns off automatically
after 8 seconds.
When the target temperature is reached, the
alarm sounds. Turn the alarm off by pressing
the SET button.
Switch the meat thermometer off using
the on/off button, and unplug the probe
connector.
Remove the probe from the meat. Use an
oven glove or pot holder to avoid burning
yourself!
Error messages
The meat thermometer may show the
following error messages on the display:
HHH: Temperature is above 300 °C.
LLL: Temperature is below -25 °C.
Use with app
Download the "Grillsense" app from Google
Play or the App Store, and open it on your
smartphone or tablet.
Follow the instructions in the app to connect
the meat thermometer and your smartphone
or tablet via WiFi and to use the app.
