In our throwaway society which is strongly influenced by consumerism it is no surprise
that the life span of household appliances has been reduced because of inferior ma-
terials and weak spots. People think new things are always better than old things and
companies do their best to prove that with their products regardless of price and brand
awareness. To the disappointment of the Liebfeld founder he had to learn it the hard
way after his newly purchased water kettle broke after a very short time of use
