Hanging tHe raPtor 8 dual
1. Remove the Raptor 8 Dual from its packaging and set aside accompanying materials.
2. Locate the ceiling joist with a stud fi nder.
3. Screw an eyebolt or some other means of hanging the refl ector securely from the
ceiling into the joist. Screw a second eyehook further down the joist to balance
hanging the refl ector.
4. Att ach a chain, rope, or other sturdy material to the eyehooks.
5. Secure the chain, rope, etc to the Raptor 8 Dual metal V-hook hangers.
6. Lift the refl ector and ease it onto the metal V-hook hangers. Adjust height if
necessary.
7. Remove the two screws located on the lens frame.
8. Unclip the three latches on one of the long sides of the Raptor,
glass lens side up. Open the lens like a hinge. If desired, remove
the lens enti rely from the chassis and set on a soft surface.
9. Determine whether to use the Raptor with a single or two bulbs.
single BulB installation
1. Remove the two mounti ng brackets, which look like a U or
horseshoe, and cordsets from inside the Raptor 8 Dual fl ange
holes. Cordsets are packed separately in cardboard inside the
main refl ector box. Set one aside.
2. Unscrew the all-system cordset from the U-shaped mounti ng
bracket. Remove the three screws from the cordset with a
fl athead screwdriver.
3. Point the U shape in towards the center of the refl ector –
use either fl ange.
4. Line up the 1 and 2 holes on the U-shaped mounti ng
bracket with the holes in the fl ange. Bolt the U-shaped mounti ng bracket inside the
fl ange with the supplied screws.
5. Att ach the cordset to the mounti ng bracket with the fl athead screws removed in step
2. The cordset collar may be adjusted if necessary for ideal lamp
placement in the refl ector. Use the appropriate hole in the cordset
that will best center the bulb.
6. Screw in the light bulb.
7. Wipe residue off the bulb and the refl ector with a clean, soft
cloth.
8. Secure the glass lens back into the chassis and reatt ach to the
ceiling.
9. Route cordset through white plasti c square grommet to seal the cord to the cord slot.
