GB General Notes Regarding Printer
D The following information can be sent to the printer:
− operation procedures at the panel(e.g. daytime operation)
− alarm− and fault messages
− clear text, if parameterized for an element.
D On every printout
− the day and time is printed
− the most recent event is always at the top of the printout.
D Entries stored in the background memory can also be printed if the operator has the appro-
piate operation authorization.
D Always ensure that the printer cover panel is closed properly. If the device contact
incorporated in the printer housing is opened, messages cannot be printed since the printer
does not have its own message memory. In this case, the message only appears on the
display of the operating and display unit of the panel.
D If the supply of paper is nearing its end, this is indicated by a message on the display of the
panel. When this message appears, you still have enough paper on the roll to print 200 lines
of text.
Use only the thermal printer paper specified by the manufacturer
(product ID 4.998.110.290, package with 5 rolls).
The paper roll can be changed while the system is in operation.
Changing the Paper roll
1. Press the paper feed button until the last line of text has passed through the printer.
2. Open the safety screws and remove the housing front plate.
3. Tear off the paper. Turn down the paper locking lever (see arrow) to remove the remaining
paper.
4. Pull out the paper roll unit.
5. Hold the printed paper on the collecting spool using one hand and remove the securing disk
by pulling to the left. Remove the printed paper roll from the collecting spool.
6. Lift the empty paper roll until it is released from the two metal clips (small arrows).
7. Remove the empty paper roll and slide a new paper roll onto the support pin.
8. To thread the paper:
− Push the support pin with the new paper roll back between the two metall clips.
− Guide the paper behind the metal pin A and up behind the rubber pin B.
− Turn up the paper locking lever.
− Feed the paper through to the collecting spool using the knurled wheel or by pressing
the paper feed button.
9. Secure the paper with at least one of the pins of the securing disk. When replacing the disk,
always slide the securing pins along the guide slots of the collecting spool.
10. Let the collecting spool fall back into its original position.
11. Close the housing front plate and secure with the safety screws.
12. If necessary, tension the paper by pressing the paper feed button.
