5. Using the safety barrier
Step 1 : fi rst measure the width of mattress to adjust the length of the safety belt. Now untie the safety belt
Step 2 and 3 :
plate is approximately equal to the width of matress
Step 4 : keep the safety barrier upright, slide the bed rail feet under the mattress. (It maybe necessary to lift the
edge of the mattress in order to easily position the bed rail feet.) Push the bed rail all the way in until it touches
the side of the mattress
Step 5 IMPORTANT
1. To prevent the risk of strangulation it is essential to ensure that with the bedguard fi tted into position, there is a
gap of at least 25 cm between each end of the bed and the corresponding end of the bedguard
2. The top edge of the bed barrier must be at least 16 cm above the upper side of the mattress
Step 6 : fi x the L-shape plate to the edge on the opposite side of the mattress away from the bed rail
Step 7 : hold the L-shape plate and pull the red belt to adjust belt length
Step 8 : fasten the fi xing belt in order to secure the bed rail. Slide the remaining belt under the mattress
