Hand control HB3 (M3)
A. Footrest in
When the yellow button A is pressed, the footrest will retract.
B. Footrest out
When you press the yellow button B, the footrest will rise. If you want
to raise the footrest even higher , you can use button D for this. This
will slightly recline both the backrest and the seat simultaneously to
ensure that there will be no extra strain on your back. When the chair
is in the stand-up position, the operation of the footrest is disabled.
If the footrest will not elevate, check whether the chair is completely
on the ground (button D).
C. Sit to stand positioning
When red button C is pressed, the chair will slowly return from the
relaxed position to the sitting position. If you press and hold the
button the chair will move to the stand-up position and the footrest
will automatically retract, if it was out. This button will help you to a
standing position to exit the chair.
D. Sitting and relaxing position
The red button D will return the chair to the sitting position. When you press and hold the
button, the chair will automatically move on to the relaxing position. Then press button B
to elevate the footrest and you will have the perfect resting position.
E. Moving the backrest forward
This blue button E will make you sit up 'straighter'.
F. Reclining the backrest
This blue button F can be used for two purposes :
1. I n the sitting position it is used to adjust the seat to the preferred sitting angle. PLEASE
NOTE: Do not recline the backrest too far, as this will result in slumping.
2. W hen you are in the relaxed position, you can recline the backrest even further with this
button, so you can sleep.

NOTE
If your chair has been manufactured with a security button on the hand control, you will
find this grey button with a key printed on it. Pressed and hold until the light starts to
blink (about 10sec), you have locked the adjustment movements of the chair. Press and
hold again for approximately 10 sec. the light stops to blink and you have unlocked the
security. An extra safety when small children are around.
Hand control HB4 (M4)
A. Footrest in
When yellow button A is pressed, the footrest will retract.
B. Footrest out
When you press the yellow button B, the footrest will rise. If you want
to raise the footrest even higher , you can use button D for this. This

C. Achieving a sitting position
Pressing the red button C will automatically return you from the
relaxed position to the sitting position.
E. Achieving a relaxed position
With the red button D the chair will move to the relaxed position. If
you then press button B, the footrest will elevate and you will have
the perfect resting position.
