The Haglof EC II is an easy to use field instrument that of-
fers accurate measuring results on inclination and heights
of objects, usually trees. Heights are measured from any
optional distance and placing in relation to the object's po-
sition in the field. The EC II uses one AA battery that is
removed by pushing open the battery lid (See image 2).
Battery consumption is low and a battery often lasts for
several months.
Function Select function with a quick press on the 'ON'
button one or several times. To turn off, press '+' and '-'
buttons simultaneously.(Automatic turnoff after approx. 30
sec's of inactivity.)
1 press: DIST Distance setup, height measuring (m/ft)
2 presses: HGT Height Measuring (m/ft)
3 presses: DEG Inclination (%/º)
Input distance with the '+' and '-' buttons. The distance
Distance Setup/Measure Height and Inclination equals the distance from the eye to the centre of
the tree's (object's) diameter at the bottom (ground
level). Step up (increase) with the '+' button and down
(decrease) with the '-'button. Optional distance from 0
to 999m/ft can be registered. A single press increases
or decreases distance by 1. Hold the button '+' or '-'
down to scroll distance by 5. Release the button when
the required distance is reached.
Press the 'ON' button to register the distance. The
Haglof EC II will use the last input distance as default
also if the instrument is turned off. NOTE! The EC II
will not measure distances. Use a measuring tape or
thread meter to determine the correct distance to the
measuring object.
Measure the angle to the bottom of the tree by aiming
with the horizontal lines in the instrument display and
pressing 'ON' one time. NOTE! Use both eyes when
aiming!

and press 'ON'. To measure more heights on the same

tree simply aim and press the 'ON' button at your
selected heights. Go straight to height measuring
without registering a new distance at HGT. Select DEG
to measure angles and inclination.

Med EC II mäter du vinklar och höjder på objekt,
huvudsakligen träd i fält. Höjder mäts från valfritt
avstånd och med valfri placering i förhållande till
mätobjektets höjdläge. EC II drivs med ett AA batteri
som enkelt byts genom att skjuta av batteriluckan enl.

Välj funktion genom att trycka ner 'ON' knappen en
eller flera ggr i snabb följd. Avstängning sker automa- Funktion

ft kan ställas in. Ett tryck ökar eller minskar avståndet
med 1. Om knappen '+' eller '-' hålls intryckt scrollas
avståndet med 5 steg, tills knappen släpps. Tryck på
'ON' knappen för att avsluta inmatning av distans. EC
II kommer ihåg den senaste inställda distansen vilket
förkortar tiden för registrering nästa gång. OBS! EC II
mäter inte distanser. Den distans som registreras i EC
II mäts enklast med måttband eller trådmätare. Mät
nu vinkel till roten på trädet genom att sikta med de
horisontala strecken i displayen och trycka en gång
på 'ON'. OBS! Använd båda ögonen vid siktning! Mät
därefter höjden på samma sätt genom att sikta på
toppen (eller annan höjd) och trycka på 'ON' knappen.
Om fler höjder på trädet behöver mätas kan du fortsätta
mäta genom att sikta och trycka på 'ON' knappen.
Genom att välja HGT kan du gå direkt till höjdmätning
utan att registrera distans.
Välj DEG för att mäta vinklar.

Las alturas, normalmente de árboles en el bosque,
pueden medirse de cualquier distancia o posición
que usted seleccione. El EC II es especialmente útil en
condiciones adversas. El EC II utiliza una batería AA. Para
cambiar la batería, ver imágen no. 2 a la izquierda. Una
batería puede durar una estación entera.

La última distancia introduzida en el EC II es utilizado
Setup (Introducción) de Distancia / Medir Alturas
como el valor por defecto/Default. Para cambiar esta
distancia, utiliza los botónes '+' o '-'. La distancia se debe
medir del centro y fondo del objeto (el árbol) arriba a la
altura del ojo. La distancia puede ser entre 0m/ft hasta
999m/ft. Presione el botón ('+' o '-') para cambiar este
valor con 1. Mantenga el botón apretado para cambios
mayores. Cuando aparezca el número deseado para la
distancia correcta en la pantalla, suelte el botón. Mida
la distancia del objeto con una cinta métrica. ¡NOTA! ¡El
EC II no mide las distancias! ¡Para obtener los valores
exactos de la altura, una entrada exacta de la distancia
actual es importante! Reconozca la nueva distancia con
una presión rápida en el botón 'ON'. Mida el ángulo hacía
la parte más baja apuntando la línea horizontal del objeto
y apriete el botón 'ON'. Es importante mantener los dos
ojos abiertos durante la medición.
Medida de la Altura Cuando el resultado (el ángulo) se
muestra en la pantalla, apunte hacia lo más alto (u otra
altura preferida). Presione el botón 'ON' hasta que se
muestra el resultado en la pantalla. Repita esta oper-
ación sí se necesita más de una altura (del mismo ob-
jeto, desde la misma distancia y con el mismo ángulo de
la base).Seleccione HGT para medir la altura sin intro-
ducir distancia. El EC II utiliza la distancia por defecto
(la última distancia introduzida). Seleccione DEG para
medir ángulos. Apunte con la línea horizontal hacía el
ángulo y presione el botón y mantengalo presionado
hasta que un resultado se muestra en la pantalla.Repita
para medir más ángulos.
