Models: 24V Professional Emergency Starter
12V/24V Professional Emergency Starter
CAUTION: charge the Emergency Starter for at least 48 hours immediately after purchase and each
time that it is used. If the Emergency Starter is not used, recharge it at least once a month to keep the
internal battery in a perfect state of efficiency. Never leave the Emergency Starter uncharged for
long periods; the efficiency of the internal battery could be greatly impaired and the operating
efficiency of the appliance could be compromised.
WARNINGS Precautions for the operator
CAUTION: read the WARNINGS carefully before using the product. Improper use of the product voids
the warranty!
• Use the Emergency Starter carefully.
• This appliance must not be used by incompetent persons (including children) without supervision.
• Keep out of the reach of children. This appliance must not be used as a toy.
• Always wear safety goggles and keep your face away from the battery when connecting and
disconnecting it.
• The liquid inside the batteries is corrosive. If the acid comes into contact with the skin or the eyes,
rinse immediately with water and consult a doctor.
• When the battery is being started up, explosive gases may be emitted: prevent sparks or flames and
do not smoke in the vicinity of the motor or the battery.
• Do not use the Emergency Starter near sources of heat or flammable material.
• Do not drop metal tools on the battery: they could cause the battery to short-circuit.
• Do not wear metal objects (rings, bracelets, watches, etc) when working with a battery.
Important safety precautions
• Do not insert any object inside slits or openings of any type on the surface of the Emergency Starter.
• To charge the Emergency Starter, use only the charger supplied. Charge in properly ventilated and
dry environments: do not expose to rain or snow.
• To disconnect the charger or the cable to be plugged into a cigar-lighter from the Emergency Starter
or from the wall socket, always pull the plug and never the cable.
• Never charge the Emergency Starter if the charger or the cable to be plugged into a cigar-lighter are
damaged: contact your dealer for a replacement or repair. Replace only with manufacturer-approved
parts.
• Never use the Emergency Starter if the plastic is broken, if you smell strange smells or too much
heat is produced.
• In the event of damage, repairs or maintenance must be performed only by qualified persons.
• The Emergency Starter is designed to start up and recharge lead acid batteries. Do not use it for
other purposes. Do not start or charge non-rechargeable batteries. Do not start up or charge frozen
batteries.
• Do not start up or load batteries with voltages that are other than those specified for the starter.
CAUTION: VOLTAGE INCOMPATIBILITY BETWEEN THE EMERGENCY STARTER AND THE
VOLTAGE OF THE VEHICLE'S ELECTRICAL SYSTEM CAN CAUSE EXPLOSIONS AND
DAMAGE THE VEHICLE, PRODUCT AND PEOPLE.
• Before starting up, switch off the vehicle lights and all other accessories.
• CAUTION: never place the terminals of the two battery clips (red-positive and black negative)
in contact with one another.
• CAUTION: never switch polarity. Always connect the output conductor with a red battery clip
(+) to the positive pole of the battery and the output conductor with a black battery clip (-) to
the vehicle's earth (ground).
