3 Operating Instructions

1.
Check the support for completeness and visible
damages such as signs of wear, deformation,
breakages, cracks, and corrosion damages prior to
each use. Check all threads for damages and ease
of operation. Do no use the support when defects
are noted and discard it immediately.
2.
Attach the tensioning belt T10552/3 to the support
bolt T10552/1. The tensioning belt must always
stay attached to the support.
3.
Adjust the support in accordance with the
Volkswagen Group workshop manuals.
Position the support pin for the support
T10552/2 with an Allen key size 5 and tighten it
with an Allen key size 5 with 10+2 Nm.
Align the support on the support pin with a
positive fit and tighten with an Allen key size 5
with 10+2 Nm.
Adjust the position of the support bolts
T10552/1 and tighten with an Allen key size 5
with 10+2 Nm.
Adjust the height of the support bolts by means
of the thread.
4.
Carry out the necessary preparation work for the
use of the support in accordance with the
workshop manuals.
5.
Place the support on the engine and gearbox jack
and ensure that the support pin is inserted
completely into the receptacle of the engine and
gearbox jack and is secured. Tighten the screw at
the support with an Allen key size 3 for this.
6.
Attach and secure the support to the vehicle
component in accordance with the Volkswagen
Group workshop manuals.
7.
Use further accessories such as T10595 and
T40386 in accordance with the Volkswagen Group
workshop manuals.

WARNING
Danger through tilting or falling of the load!
Incorrect attachment of the support to the load
may cause tilting or falling of the load! This could
cause serious personal injury or severe damage to
materials.
Fasten the support exactly as described in the
workshop manuals.
Check the tensioning belts for secure seat.
WARNING
Risk of injury through moving loads!
Crushing of limbs between load and vehicle can result
from movements such as moving, lifting or lowering of
the load.
Position hands and feet in such a manner that
crushing hazards do not exist when moving the load.
Observe the engine and gearbox jack as well as the
load during all movements.
8.
Carry out further work as described in the
workshop manuals.
9.
Ensure that all parts of the special tool have been
removed after completing the repair work.
