the one of the battery.
At the end of the charge, the current is at the minimum value (some mA) and the
voltage reaches its maximum value according to the type of selection.
- To disconnect the set of leads.
Charging of sealed lead-acid batteries.
- To disconnect the battery from your instrument.
- To choose the type of voltage "Fixed 28V" for 24V-batteries or "Fixed 14V" for 12V-
batteries.
- To check the capacity (in Ah) of the battery ; for the charge, the current (in A) is
generally 1/3 of this capacity (see the instructions manual of the battery's
manufacturer).
- To short-circuit the + and - outputs (red and black socket).
- To set the current at the value required (knob "Current").
- To remove the short-circuit.
- To connect the set of safety silicone leads CSS100 (optional item) with the set of
insulated crocodile clips JPCI (optional item) between the power-supply and the
battery as follows :
Red lead between the + output (red socket) and the + pole of the battery.
Black lead between the - output (black socket) and the - pole of the battery.
- To check current and voltage on the indicators. At the beginning of the charge, the
current is at the maximum value (the one you have adjusted) and the voltage is
approximately the same as the one of the battery.
At the end of the charge, the current is at the minimum value (some mA) and the
voltage reaches its maximum value according to the selection.
- To disconnect the set of leads.
5. MAINTENANCE
No particular maintenance is required for this instrument.
Any intervention inside the power-supply must be made in our factory or specialized
workshops.
Avoid dust, moisture, shocks ; your instrument will be grateful for that.
For the cleaning, please use a smooth duster.
In case of polarity inversion (as charger of batteries), a buzzer built in the power-
supply sounds ; the fuse (5 x 20mm) F1 : F3.15A must be replaced by a fuse having
same type and specifications.
If indicators do not light up on switching on, check, the mains voltage and the
connection to mains ; the fuse (5 x 20mm) F2 : T630mA must be replaced by a fuse
having same type and specifications.
6. AFTER SALES SERVICE
During ONE YEAR, spare parts and workmanship are guaranteed against
manufacturing defects. The sending costs for returnable goods are on behalf of the
customer. Only the instruments returned with a dated sales invoice, can be covered
by the guarantee. This guarantee does not apply to instruments presenting defects
