DIRECTIONS FOR USE

(Single Canister/Liner Only)
Note: If more than one canister/liner is needed, a manifold must be used. Use manifold
model number 539410.
1. Stopcock canister may be used on a single wall plate, regulator mounted, or on a
four-canister stand.
2. If used on a non-Bemis single wall plate, place adapting Quick-Fit wire hanger
(Model 539010) into wall plate and slide stopcock canister into it.
3. If the stopcock canister needs to be regulator mounted, utilize the adapting regulator
bracket for Quick-Fit (Model 538510).
Note: Bemis does not recommend placing a 3000cc canister on a regulator.
4. Make sure stopcock is in OFF position. (Figure 3)
5. Attach vacuum tube from regulator or vacuum outlet to stopcock canister tubing barb
underneath stopcock. (Figure 1)
6. Insert Quick-Fit liner into reusable canister. Press lid firmly around perimeter.
7. Connect white vacuum hose to vacuum port of Quick-Fit liner.
8. Attach patient tube to patient port and cap all other unused ports.
9. Turn vacuum on, then turn stopcock to ON position. Liner should now be inflated.
Note: Stopcock is ON when vertical (Figure 2) and OFF when horizontal (Figure 3).
10. Before disconnecting vacuum at end of procedure, remove patient port tube and cap all
ports tightly. Turn off stopcock; remove white vacuum hose and cap vacuum port.
11. Carefully remove and dispose of liner according to hospital policy; clean and disinfect
reusable outer canister immediately after use.
Note: When using a tandem setup, dispose of all used and unused liners after
the procedure.
C A U T I O N
• Liner is single use only. Outer canister is reusable.
• Always use matching size liner and outer canister. Do not attempt to use a 1500cc liner in a 3000cc canister.
• Not recommended for use with portable vacuum systems as reduced airflow may result.
• Clean outer canister with 10% bleach or 10% alcohol solution. Do not use acetone-based cleaners.
• Do not exceed vacuum level of 25" (640mm) Hg.
• Do not apply continuous vacuum longer than 24 hours.
• Not intended as a measuring device, only for general reference, not specific measurement.
• Check expiration date on top of liner lid for use-by date.
• Store liner in a dark place. Long term exposure to light may compromise product performance and result in
breakage during use.
