10 Safety settings

10.1 SIM Card Lock

To prevent unauthorized use, SIM Cards are protected with a
PIN code (personal identification number code).
If this function is activated, the PIN has to be entered correct-
ly each time the phone is powered on. This function can be
deactivated by the user, which could enable unauthorized use
of the mobile phone.
If the PIN is entered incorrectly three times in a row, the SIM
card will be locked. To unlock the card, the mobile phone will
ask you for a PUK number, which you have received from
your network provider.
If the PUK is entered incorrectly 10 times in a row, the SIM
card will be locked permanently.

10.2 Restore Factory Settings

The menu restore factory settings is password protected. The
default password is 1122.
