Product
• VELUX ACtiVE climate control has been designed for use with genuine
VELUX products. Connection to other products may cause damage or
malfunction.
• VELUX ACtiVE climate control is compatible with products with the
io-homecontrol logo.
®
• if VELUX ACtiVE climate control is used with products other than
VELUX products, please consider whether these other products have
been designed for frequent operation.
• VELUX ACtiVE climate control is compatible with VELUX solar powered
sunscreening products. However, please note that in winter they may not
be able to be operated as frequently as in summer.
• VELUX ACtiVE climate control is based on two-way RF (radio fre-
quency) communication and marked with the symbol
• the controller has been designed for controlling up to 200 sunscreening
products. Up to 200 sensors can be assigned to the controller.
• the sensors contain a battery (type LtC).
• Expected battery lifetime of the sensors: Approx 10 years.
• Used batteries must not be disposed of together with household waste
but have to be disposed of in conformity with the relevant national envi-
ronmental regulations. Batteries contain substances that can be harmful
if not handled and recycled correctly.
• Use local authority battery disposal point where available.
• Electrical products must be disposed of in conformity with national
regulations for electronic waste and not with household waste.
• the packaging can be disposed of with usual household waste.
• Radio frequency band: 868 MHz.
• Radio frequency range: 300 m free field. Depending on building con-
struction, the indoor range is approx 30 m. However, constructions with
reinforced concrete, metal ceilings, plaster walls with steel members and
windows with wired glass units may reduce the range.

Maintenance and service
• Disconnect from mains or battery supply before carrying out any main-
tenance or service work to the window and products connected to it and
ensure that it cannot be reconnected unintentionally during this time.
• Maintenance and installation must be carried out in consideration to
Health and Safety at work requirements.
• if installed and used correctly, VELUX ACtiVE climate control normally
does not require maintenance.
• if the adaptor plug and/or cable is/are damaged, it/they must be re-
placed with a corresponding type.
• the battery of the sensors cannot be replaced.
• Spare parts are available through your VELUX sales company. Please
provide information from the data label.
