MISE EN SERVICE ET UTILISATION
Danger!
Electric current may be lethal! To reduce the risk of short-cir-
cuits make sure that the appliance, the power supply cord or
the power socket never come in contact with water or other
liquids. To prevent the risk of fire,covering the appliance is
strictly prohibited!To prevent the risk of burns, moving the ap-
pliance while in use is strictly prohibited. To ensure the safety of
the user and of third parties, it is necessary to strictly observe
the important safety precautions mentioned on pages 18/19.
Preparing the Appliance
Place the appliance on a stable and wide table (never, for
example, under a cupboard). Observe the important safety
precautions mentioned on pages 18/19.
After the Meal
Turn the temperature regulator (3) completely anticlockwise
(Position 0). Unplug and let the appliance cooldown comple-
tely. The appliance must be cleaned afteruse (see «Cleaning»
page 21).
Changing the Temperature
Temperature may be adjusted by means of the regulator(3).
Turning the regulator anticlockwise temperature decreases
while turning it clockwise it increases.
Temperature control with integrated on/off switch
Position 0 = Off
Position 1 = Oil (Fondue Bourguignonne)
Position 2 = Water (Fondue Chinoise)
Position 1 - Fondue Bourguignonne (oil-based)
Place the necessary amount of oil for Fondue Bourguignonne
into the pot. Observe not to fall below the minimum filling
quantity of 500ml or exceeding the maximum filling quantity
of 1 liter (see fill mark inside pot). Switch the device on by
turning the temperature control clockwise to position 1.

OPERATING PROBLEMS

Repairs must be caried out only by the official aftersales service department. All repairs carried out by unqualified personnel
may involve serious risks for the user.
No responsability is assumed in the case of damages caused by repairs carried out by unqualified personnel. Under
these circumstances all guarantee rights become void.
DISPOSAL
Render unusable all appliances that are out of order. Disconnect the plug from the socket and cut the
electric cord.
Take all appliances that are out of order to appropriate waste collection.
Position 2 - Fondue Chinoise (water or broth-based)
Place the necessary amount of water or stock for Fondue
Chinoise into the pot. Observe not to fall belowthe minimum
filling quantity of 500ml or exceeding the maximum filling
quantity of 1 liter (see fill mark insidepot).
Switch the device on by initially pressing the temperature
control and then turning it clockwise to position 2.
Cleaning
Clean the appliance after each use so as to avoid food
residues from sticking to it. Before cleaning the ap-
pliance make sure it is unplugged and wait for the
appliance to have completely cooled down. Never
immerse the appliance in water or other liquids. Ne-
ver put the appliance in the dish-washer.
Cleaning the Heating Casing
Clean the outside of the casing with a moistened
sponge or soft cloth. The heating casing must never
come into contact with water or with other liquids.
Cleaning the Pot and accessories
The pot and all accessories should be cleaned with
detergent and water.
Storing
Before putting the appliance away make sure it is
unplugged. Store it only when it has cooled down
completely. If the appliance isn't going to be used for
a long time it must be protected from excessive dust
and dirt. Store the appliance in a dry place and keep
it out of the reach of children. Make sure the ap-
pliance is always unplugged when not in use.
Maintenance
The appliance needs no maintenance except anoccasional
check as to its correct operation.
