8. Construction and assembly
There is suffocation hazard due to
swallowing, due to inhaling of small
parts or due to foils, which get in front
of mouth and nose.
- Keep all used packing materials out
of reach of children.
- Children are not allowed to play with
the packaging material.
Unpacking and checking of the
appliance
1. Remove all parts from the package
and remove complete packaging
material. Remove also the transporta-
tion safety appliances, which may be
there.
2. Check the delivered items for
completeness. If the parts are missing
or damaged, please reach on the
address specified in this operating
manual.
3. Check all the individual parts for
damages. If there are damages, do

not use the appliance.
4. Before using the appliance for the
first time, clean all parts of the device
as described in the chapter "Cleaning
and care".

Start-up operation and use
NOTE!
Before using the device for the first
time, it is necessary to carry out a
5-minute heating process. Here, the
possibly occurring slight smell and
slight smoke development are normal
and disappear after 1-2 heating
passes. This is not a malfunction of the
device. Still, ensure adequate ventila-
tion, e.g. by opening the window.
• Place the appliance on a flat,
heat-resistant surface.
• Unwind the power cord with the
power plug completely and connect
the appliance to a properly installed
power outlet that corresponds to the
specifications on the device.
• Now carry out 1-2 approx. 5 minutes
of heating process (without ingre-
dients). Follow the instructions and
warnings under "Usage of the contact
grill".
• Then disconnect the appliance from
the mains by pulling the mains plug out
of the socket and let it cool down to
room temperature.
• Clean the appliance as described in
the Section "Cleaning and Care"
