4. Safety instructions

WARNING!
Read and observe all Safety instruc-
tions listed below. Failure to do so
will result in considerable accident
and injury risks as well as the risk of
damage to property and equipment.
Dangers for children and persons with
limited abilities
• This appliance can be used by the
children older than 8 years and by
individuals with reduced physical,
sensory or mental abilities or lack of
experience and/or knowledge, if they
use it under supervision or have been
instructed regarding the safe use of
the appliance and have understood
the consequential risks.
• Cleaning and maintenance by the
user is not allowed to be carried out
by the children without supervision,
unless they are above 8 years and
are monitored. The appliance and its
connecting cable must be kept away
from children under 8 years of age.
• Children are not allowed to play
with the appliance. Children do not
recognize the danger which may
arise when handling electrical equip-
ment. Therefore, use and store the
device out of the reach of children
under 8 years of age. Do not let the

power cord hang down to prevent it
from being pulled.
• Keep packaging material away
from children – Choking hazard!
Dangers when handling electrical
appliances
• Only connect the device to a
properly installed earthed socket
with a mains voltage according to
the type plate.
• If the power cord is damaged,
it must be replaced by the manu-
facturer, its after-sales service or a
similarly qualified person to avoid
hazards.
• Make sure that the socket is near
the appliance and that it is freely
accessible in order to quickly discon-
nect the appliance from the mains in
the event of a fault.
• Repairs are allowed to be carried
out only by the permitted specialist
workshops. Devices, which are not
repaired properly pose a risk for the
user.
• In order to avoid accidents, do not
leave the device unattended during
operation.
• To avoid accidents, never connect
several household appliances at
the same time (e.g. via a 3-socket
distributor) to the same earthed
socket.
• Never immerse the appliance in
water or use it outdoors as it should
not be exposed to rain or moisture
– Risk of electric shock!
• If the appliance has fallen into the
water, first unplug the device and
then remove the appliance! After-
wards, stop using the appliance and
