DEVICE DESCRIPTION
The sterile, single use Os Finder
extremely smooth and malleable teflon-like material. The dilator is 21.5 cm long with a taper from
2 to 4 mm.
CAUTION
U.S. Federal law restricts this device to sale by or on the order of a physician.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
This instrument should not be used under any of the following conditions:
• Pregnancy or suspicion of pregnancy
• Acute or active inflammation of the cervix, endometrium, fallopian tube, ovary or peritoneum
• In the case of cervicitis, endometritus, tubo-ovarian inflammatory disease or pelvic
inflammatory disease
• Invasive cancer that is visible on examination
PRECAUTIONS
Do not use the Os Finder if the package or instrument are damaged.
INDICATIONS FOR USE
This instrument is ideal for use in intracervical dilation, uterine sounding, or for intrauterine procedures.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
The Os Finder is used to find the external os by simply pushing the narrow end gently against the
cervix until it finds its way. Further insertion of the flexible tip will follow the natural path of the canal
until it reaches and goes through the internal os.
Dispose of in accordance with all applicable Federal, State and local Medical/Hazardous
waste practices.
