12 Festplatte auswechseln
Um die Festplatte vor Beschädigung zu schüt-
zen, vor dem Herausnehmen des Festplatten-
einschubs das Gerät ausschalten und mindes-
tens eine Minute verstreichen lassen.
Es sollten nur die im Kapitel 13.2 aufgeführten
Festplattentypen verwendet werden.
Der Festplatteneinschub (6) des Recorders ist bei
Auslieferung mit einer 80-GB-Festplatte bestückt.
Zum schnellen und einfachen Austausch der
Festplatte ist ein zusätzlicher Einschub (ohne Fest-
platte) mit der Bezeichnung DVR-108AM von
MONACOR erhältlich. Eine voll beschriebene Fest-
platte kann so komplett mit dem Einschub archiviert
und bei Bedarf später überschrieben werden.
12.1 Festplatteneinschub herausnehmen
1) Zum Herausnehmen muss der Festplattenein-
schub über das Schloss (8) entriegelt werden.
Dem Recorder liegen zwei Schlüssel bei. Die
Abbildung 7 zeigt die zwei möglichen Schloss-
positionen:

Den Schlüssel ins Schloss stecken und gegen
den Uhrzeigersinn in Position „B" drehen.
2) Der Einschub ist jetzt entriegelt. Den Griff des
Einschubs hochklappen und den Einschub am
Griff aus dem Aufnahmeschacht des Recorders
ziehen.
12 Replacing the Hard Disk
To protect the hard disk against damage, switch
off the unit prior to removing the hard disk inser-
tion and wait for at least one minute.
Only the hard disk types mentioned in chapter
13.2 should be used.
An 80 GB hard disk is installed in the hard disk in-
sertion (6) of the recorder when the unit is delivered.
For fast and easy replacement of the hard disk an
additional insertion (without hard disk) with the des-
ignation MONACOR DVR-108AM is available. A
hard disk which is full can thus completely be ar-
chived together with the insertion and be overwritten
later, if required.
12.1 Removing the hard disk insertion
1) For removing, the hard disk insertion must be
unlocked via the lock (8). Two keys are supplied
with the recorder. Fig. 7 shows the two available
positions of the lock:

Put the key in the lock and turn it counter-clock-
wise to position "B".
2) The insertion is unlocked now. Fold up the handle
of the insertion, then remove the insertion by the
handle from the insertion compartment of the
recorder.
12.2 Neue Festplatte einsetzen
1) Eine neue Festplatte muss als „Master" konfigu-
riert werden. Die Konfigurierung erfolgt über
Steckbrücken auf der Rückseite der Festplatte.
2) Den Deckel des Festplatteneinschubs abneh-
men: den Griff des Einschubs hochklappen und
am Deckel die seitliche Lasche mit der Rastnase
(Position „A" in Abb. 8) leicht nach außen ziehen,
so dass der Deckel entriegelt ist und der Griff
wieder nach unten klappt. Dann den Deckel nach
hinten wegschieben (Abb. 9).
3) Den Stecker für die Gleichstromversorgung und
die IDE-Steckverbindung an die neue Festplatte
anschließen.
4) Die Festplatte in den Einschub setzen und fest-
schrauben.
5) Den Deckel wieder aufsetzen und ganz nach
vorn schieben, so dass die Verriegelung wieder
einrastet.
6) Den Einschub vollständig in den Aufnahme-
schacht des Recorders schieben, so dass er ein-
rastet.
7) Zum Verriegeln des Einschubs den Schlüssel in
das Schloss stecken und im Uhrzeigersinn in die
Position „A" (Abb. 7) drehen.
12.2 Inserting a new hard disk
1) A new hard disk must be configured as "master".
The configuration is made via jumpers on the
rear side of the hard disk.
2) Remove the cover of the hard disk insertion: Fold
up the handle of the insertion and at the cover,
slightly pull outward the lateral strap with the
latch (position "A" in fig. 8) so that the cover
unlocks and the handle folds downward again.
Then slide the cover to the back (fig. 9).
3) Connect the plug for the DC supply and the IDE
plug connection to the new hard disk.
4) Place the hard disk into the insertion and fasten
the screws.
5) Replace the cover and slide it fully to the front so
that the latch locks into place again.
6) Slide the insertion completely into the insertion
compartment of the recorder so that it locks into
place.
7) For locking the insertion, put the key in the lock
and turn it clockwise to position "A" (fig. 7).
