1. INTRODUCTION
The Skitter io is a wireless io-homecontrol
allows you to run a selected scenario with a simple click of
a button. The scenarios are fi rst created on the PC, using
the Skitter Easy software, then saved in the Skitter io.
2. SAFETY
2.1. Safety and responsibility
Before using this product, please read this guide carefully.
Any use outside the sphere of application specifi ed by Somfy is forbidden. This invalidates the
warranty and discharges Somfy of all liability, as does any failure to comply with the instructions
given herein. Never begin installing without fi rst checking the compatibility of this product with the
associated equipment and accessories (www.somfy.com/skitter).
2.2. Specifi c safety advice
To prevent damaging the product:
1) Avoid impacts!
2) Do not drop it!
3) Do not spill liquid on it or immerse it in liquids.
4) Do not use abrasive products or solvents to clean it.
Its surface can be cleaned using a soft, damp cloth.
Keep remote controls out of the reach of children.

4. FITTING THE BATTERY

- Open the battery compartment cover on the back
of the Skitter io.
- Insert the battery (1.5 V, type N).
- Close the cover.
Please separate storage cells and batteries from
other types of waste and recycle them via your
local collection facility.
5. COMMISSIONING
1) On the computer intended to be used with the Skitter io:
- Launch the Internet browser.
- Go to: www.somfy.com/skitter and follow the
instructions to download the Skitter Easy application.
- Once the download is complete, double-click the
downloaded fi le to install the application on the
computer.
- Launch the application and follow the instructions.
