Step 3 – Replacement of the filter
• Using the enclosed plastic glove to avoid direct contact with contaminated filter sticks, remove the filter
from the waste air opening (see images 6 and 7).
• Make sure the hook tape is still properly fixed on the casing of the machine (image 8). Note: should
hook tape not be properly fixed or come off, remove remaining hook tape from the casing and clean the
surface carefully. Then reinstall as in Step 2.
• Clean the exhaust opening thoroughly (image 9).
• Remove the shrink-wrap plastic covering from the filter (refer back to image 2).
• Remove the top layer/hook tape (including the protective film) of the new filter (image 10).
• Press the filter exactly on the hook tape already fixed on the casing (refer back to image 5).
• Now your printer is Dexwet-protected! Now you can start printing
For disposal of the used filter, please see disposal note below.
Congratulations. You are now "Protected by Dexwet!"
Attaching the "Dexwet Protected" sticker:
• Adhere the "Dexwet Protected!" sticker on your machine to indicate that you are taking action to reduce
fine dust levels in your building.
• Enter all the relevant data (date of mounting, counter reading) on the Dexwet sticker and place the
sticker next to the assembly site (waste air opening) of the Dexwet Fine Dust Filter.
• NOTE: Dexwet will only assume liability for the product if the enclosed stickers are fitted correctly and that the
Dexwet fine dust filter systems are therefore continuously checked.
Warnings for Using Dexwet Filter Systems:
• The filter must not be fitted inside the machine. Only assemble on the outside!
• Filter must not be heated to above 150°C.
• Do not uncover the filter rods and do not put them in your mouth! If swallowed, do not induce vomiting;
immediately call for medical assistance.
• If filters come into contact with eyes, rinse eyes with running water and call a doctor. Always prevent the eyes and
mucous membranes from coming into contact with the carrier substance of the filter systems.
Proper Disposal of Dexwet Filter Systems:
• "Protected by Dexwet!" means that the Dexwet filter systems bond harmful substances in the long-term.
The Dexwet Fine Dust Filter therefore requires special disposal. Due to the toner particles they contain,
used filters should be classed using waste code 57127 (ÖNORM S2100) and are therefore considered to
be problem materials under the corresponding regulations.
• Dirty filters must never enter the eco-cycle.
• "Protected by Dexwet!" also applies to disposal.
• Dexwet only provides liability in line with valid Austrian product liability legislation. No liability will be
granted if the product is used incorrectly or not assembled correctly. We reserve the right to technical
amendments, mistakes and errors in the text or in printing.
