Step 1 – Determining Installation Location For Your Dexwet Fine Dust Filter
If you already know where to install your filter, please go to Step 2.
If you don't know yet where to install the filter, the latest compatibility list for installing Dexwet filter systems can be
found at www.dexwet.com, or you can contact the company from which you purchased the Dexwet Fine Dust Filter. If you
have any further questions, we would be glad to assist you, please e-mail: support@dexwet.com.
If you want to determine the installation location yourself, the Dexwet Fine Dust Filter must always be installed on the
waste air opening. To find the waste air opening, please proceed as follows:
• Look for the openings on your unit and hold a tissue near each of the openings you have found.
• Do a copy or print run of at least fifteen pages.
• You will see the tissue blow either inward or outward. If the tissue blows outward, you have found a waste air
opening. You can now continue following the installation/assembly procedure.
Step 2 – Installation
• The mounting surface must be dry, clean and non-greasy. Please use enclosed cleaning pad (image 1). For proper
installation, room temperature should not be below 17°C.
• Remove the shrink-wrap plastic covering from the filter (image 2).
• Remove the protective film from the hook tape/loop tape (Velcro) strips – be careful not to remove the hook tape.
Make sure that the adhesive surfaces and the filter rods remain clean. (image 3).
• Stick the filter firmly onto the exhaust opening of the printer, ensuring that the waste air opening is centered in the
filter (image 4).
• Press the filter against the casing to ensure permanent fixation (image 5).
• Now your printer is Dexwet-protected! We recommend starting printing six hours after mounting.
The DEXWET filter contamination should be checked periodically in recurrent intervals for signs of contamination,
conditional on number of prints. Replacement of the filter is recommended after 50,000 prints (mono) or twelve
months, or earlier if heavily contaminated.
