When removing the plugs later, press the button
PUSH of the corresponding XLR jack.
2) Connect, for example, the inputs of the amplifiers to
the XLR outputs (11).
3) Finally connect the plug of the mains cable (10) to a
socket (230 V~/ 50 Hz).

5 Operation

To prevent switching noise, switch on the units of the
audio system in the following order:
1. the signal sources
2. the ARM-88 with the POWER switch (9)
3. the power amplifiers
After switching on the signal router, the green LED (1)
of the last input selected and the red LEDs (2) of the
outputs to which the input signal has been switched
will light up. The last assignment selected is adjusted.
When the signal router is operated for the first time, the
assignment will be random.
After operating the audio system, switch off the
power amplifiers first.
5.1 Switching the inputs to the outputs
For operating the audio system, switch the audio
inputs of the signal router to the desired audio outputs.
1) Select the first input with the buttons CHANNEL
SELECT (4) in the control panel INPUT. The green
LEDs (1) will show the input selected.
The red LEDs (2) will indicate the outputs to
which the input selected has been switched.
2) To add an output, select the desired output with
the buttons CHANNEL SELECT (3) in the control
panel OUTPUT so that the corresponding red LED
will flash.
3) Press the button ADD/ DEL (7). The red LED will
flash faster. To memorize, press the button STORE
(6) so that the LED of the added output will light per-
manently.
4) To delete an output, proceed in the same way:
Select the output with the buttons CHANNEL
SELECT (2), press the button ADD/ DEL and press
the button STORE to memorize so that the LED of
the output to be deleted will be extinguished.
5) Repeat these steps for all further inputs.
5.2 Adjusting the output level
Adjust the output levels of the outputs (11) with the cor-
responding controls OUTPUT LEVEL (8) in an opti-
mum way for the following units. For this purpose, use
a screwdriver. The level is adjustable between zero
and twice the signal strength of the input level.
5.3 Memorizing presets
Eight different assignments can be memorized for var-
ious applications. It is recommended to enter the mem-
orized presets in the tables on page 3 (or rather a copy
of this page). Thus, you will have an overview of all
presets saving you the time and trouble of retrieving
the presets from the signal router.
1) First make the desired assignment for the first pre-
set according to chapter 5.1.
2) Switch to the preset mode with the button PRESET
(5) so that the blue LED above this button will light up.
The green LEDs (1) will show the preset memory
selected. The red LEDs (2) will show which memory
locations are reserved.
3) Select the memory location with the buttons CHAN-
NEL SELECT (4). To memorize, keep the button
STORE (6) pressed until the corresponding red
LED (2) will light up.
4) To deactivate the preset mode, press the button
PRESET so that the LED of the button will be extin-
guished.
5.4 Deleting presets
If the eight preset memories are reserved (in the pre-
set mode, all red LEDs A – H will light up in this case),
a memory must be deleted before another preset can
be memorized:
1) The preset mode must be activated so that the blue
LED of the button PRESET (5) lights up. If not,
press the button PRESET.
2) Select the memory to be deleted with the buttons
CHANNEL SELECT (4) in the control panel INPUT.
The green LEDs (1) will show the memory selected.
3) To delete it, keep the button STORE (6) pressed,
then press the button ADD/ DEL (7) in addition so
that the corresponding red LED (2) will be extin-
guished.
5.5 Loading presets
1) To recall a memorized preset, the preset mode must
be activated so that the blue LED of the button PRE-
SET (5) lights up. If not, press the button PRESET.
2) Select the desired preset with the buttons CHAN-
NEL SELECT (4) in the control panel INPUT. The
green LEDs (1) will show the memory selected.
3) To load it, press the button ADD/ DEL (7). The blue
LED of the button PRESET will be extinguished for
a short time. Then the preset will be loaded.
4) To indicate the assignment of the inputs and outputs
for the preset loaded, deactivate the preset mode
with the button PRESET and select the inputs one
after another with the buttons CHANNEL SELECT
(4) in the control panel INPUT. The red LEDs (2) will
respectively indicate the outputs assigned.
