9. The appliance should not be used near water – for example, near a bathtub, wash bowl,
kitchen sink, laundry tub, in a wet basement, or near a swimming pool.
10. Do not operate the appliance with wet hands or while standing on a wet floor.
11. Do not open the appliance casing under any circumstances. Do not insert any foreign objects
into the inside of the casing.
12. Never use accessories which are not recommended by the manufacturer. They could pose
a safety risk to the user and might damage the appliance. Only use original parts and
accessories.
13. The appliance is only suitable for use at moderate degrees of latitude. Do not use it in the
tropics or in particularly humid climates.
14. Keep the appliance away from any hot surfaces and open flames. Always operate the
appliance on a level, stable, clean and dry surface. Protect the appliance against heat and
cold, dust, direct sunlight, moisture, dripping and splashing water.
15. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory, or mental capabilities, or by those who lack experience and knowledge, unless they
have been given supervision and instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person
responsible for their safety.
16. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
17. Do not expose battery and appliance to extreme temperatures, like direct sunlight or fire. Do
not place the appliance on any heat source. Leaking battery acid may cause harm.
18. Warning! The battery may not be removed, disassembled, thrown into fire, or short-circuited.
19. The rating plate is located at the bottom of the appliance.

Battery disposal
Used batteries must not be disposed of through household garbage, since they might contain
toxic elements and heavy metals that can be harmful to the environment and human health.
Consumers are therefore obligated to return batteries to retail or local collection facilities free of
charge. Used batteries will be recycled.
They contain important raw materials such as iron, zinc, manganese or nickel.
The crossed-out wheelie bin symbol indicates: Batteries and rechargeable batteries must not
be disposed of through household garbage.
The symbols below the wheelie bin indicate:
Pb: Battery contains lead
Cd: Battery contains cadmium
Hg: Battery contains mercury
Information on environmental protection
Old electrical appliances are potentially recyclable and do not belong in the household
rubbish. Therefore, we would like to request that you assist us with your contribution to saving
resources and environmental protection and that you hand in this appliance at an equipped
collection centre (if there is one available).
