The modules of the SCG-HV-RI series
are used as roof covers for slanted
roofs with a minimum pitch of 10°.
They are used instead of clay bricks,
slates etc.
In order to properly mount this module
type, it is imperative to be very well-
versed with the mounting instructions
by Schweizer (http://www.schweizer-
metallbau.ch). The mounting instruc-
tions can be read in the technical docu-
mentation for SOLRIF D (Solar Roof
Integration Frame).
A waterproof sub-roof is necessary
for attaching a PV system to the roof.
Check the sub-roof or create one
before the mounting! Normally, it is
advisable to have a specialist roofer
check the abovementioned aspects.
The SOLRIF D mounting system is
secure from rain, comparable with a
conventional brick roof. This does not
mean that a roof is waterproof. In cer-
tain climatic conditions, fine snow,
driving rain or water can seep below
the roof from the eaves.
Horizontal mounting of the modules is
provided in the mounting system. Addi-
tional mounting of anti-slip fittings is
not necessary.
Since the modules expand in heat,
there must be a minimum gap of
15 mm between the fixing brackets,
as specified in the mounting instruc-
tions for SOLRIF.
On account of the production and laying
tolerances, the module battens must
not be placed in advance during
mounting preparations. Considering
the load, the module batten must
always end on a roof batten.
