Remove the screws on either side at the
back of the mounting plate (can
be accessed through the holes in the plate).
Detach the lining from the plastic holders,
take the mounting plate off the rear plastic
holders, lift the adjustment mechanism off
the pinion and remove the entire lining from
the helmet.

Before inserting the new lining, check the
helmet size adjustment mechanism pinion
for damage. Should the pinion be damaged,
return the helmet to the manufacturer or
dealer for repair, as special tools are
required.
Pick up the new lining and engage the
adjustment mechanism with the rack on
the pinion. The adjustment mechanism
should cover the pinion completely up to
the rim. Ensure that the two stop lugs on
the back of the head band are both the
same distance from the adjustment
mechanism. Insert a new screw in the
middle of the adjustment mechanism
holding the pinion in place. Attach the
mounting plate with the screws on the
left and right (through the holes in the
mounting plate for the neck padding).
Turn the size knob to maximum, insert
the lining (see 8.3) and attach the chin
strap (see 8.2). Finally attach the neck
padding (see 8.1).
