Field of application:
The EoC 10-01 connects EoC 10-02 endpoints, with the internet. For the
network an established coaxial cable network is used.
The advantage of an ethernet over coax solution is, that no network cables
must be laid. The data is transmitted through the low-attenuation return path
of the coax network.
Scope of delivery:
9 EoC 10-01
9 CAT5 ethernet cable
Connects from LAN port to Internet modem
9 12 VDC power adapter for power supply

Note: LAN2 link could be connected either at SFP or RJ45 socket.
Reset or settings to factory default:
While EoC 10-01 is on, press the reset button for 1 second.
The EoC 10-01 will reboot.
Press the reset button for lasting 5 seconds until the unlabeled LED (bet-
ween Diagnosis LED and SFP LED) lights up.
All NMU settings are set to factory default (for example, the IP address will
be set to 192.168.1.1).
Press the reset button for lasting 10 seconds until the unlabeled LED and
the diagnosis LED will light up.
All NMU, all Master and all EP settings are set to factory default.
Hardware connections:
Select a convenient location for the EoC near the internet modem to which
it will be connected. The device should be kept away from excessive heat.
Please make sure the coaxial network is well grounded.
Use a coaxial cable to connect the EoC+RF port to the feeding in point of
the coax network (splitter, combiner, terrestrial input of a multiswitch etc.).
Optional use another coaxial cable to feed in terrestrial or CATV signals to
the RF port.
Connect the LAN1/LAN2 port to the internet modem.

Power Supply:
The DC switch on the side has two positions:
DC IN: The EoC 10-01 runs in local power mode.
Connect the power adapter to the DC IN 12V port and connect it to a wall
outlet.
LINE: The EoC 10-01 runs in line power mode
Powering EoC 10-01 via the coaxial cable connected to port 'RF+Data' or
port 'RF' from coax is necessary (typical 60 VAC input (range 48V~90V,
50/60 Hz AC).
Alternatively powering EoC 10-01 via the port 'LAN2' Ethernet cabling (Po-
wer over Ethernet or PoE acc. to IEEE 802.3af or 802.3at, it supports mode
A and B).

Configuration:
The device is configured via the graphical user interface of the integrated
web interface. To access the user interface, you need a standard PC/lap-
top with a network interface and the actual version of the installed web
browser.
The factory default IP address of is 192.168.1.1 and the default subnet
mask is 255.255.255.0. To access the EoC with default IP, your PC should be
within the same IPv4 network.
The EoC 10-01 will prompt you a window for password authorization. The
both factory default username and password is 'admin'.
After the first log-in, the password should be changed.
