FIELD OF APPLICATION/OF OPERATION
•
Use the appliance for domestic purposes only and in the way indicated in these
instructions.
•
This appliance is intended to be used for domestic applications and similar applications
such as:
Kitchen corners reserved for personnel in shops, offices and other professional
environments.
Farms.
The use by clients of hotels, motels and other environments with a residential
character.
Environments of the "bed and breakfast" type.
BEFORE THE FIRST OPERATION
Your appliance can function with 2 voltages (visible by a small 2-position switch graded to the
2 most frequent voltages which is situated on the bottom of the appliance). You have to verify
that the tension switch is set to the position that corresponds with the voltage of your region.
Otherwise the appliance might suffer serious damages that will not be covered by the
guarantee.
For a perfect taste: before the first use, operate the jug kettle with fresh water in order to clean
any residue left from the manufacturing process. When the appliance has cooled down,
repeat the process 3 times with fresh water, before rinsing.

OPERATION

•
Raise the lid and fill the tank with fresh water paying attention not to fill above the "MAX"
mark in the kettle. It is absolutely necessary to respect this instruction.
•
Close the lid by pressing it down until it you hear a click. Make sure it closes correctly.
•
Plug into the wall socket and press the on switch ("I"). The pilot light will come on, indicating
that the appliance is working. If it does not come on, check if the jug kettle is plugged in. If
the problem persists, contact the nearest customer service.
•
The jug kettle will switch off automatically when the water is boiling.
•
For instant reboiling, for a new use or if your appliance has switched off automatically at the
first try, wait until the water has cooled down and switch on the appliance by pressing the
on switch ("I") again.
SAFETY CUT-OUT
•
This jug kettle is protected with a safety device that switches off the appliance
automatically when it is accidentally switched on without water.
•
In this case, unplug the appliance and wait about 10 minutes for the element to cool.
Then fill the jug kettle with cold water.
•
Should the problem persist, please contact the nearest customer service.
WARNING:
YOUR JUG KETTLE HAS A SWITCH WITH AN AUTOMATIC CUT-OUT WHICH WORKS ONLY THANKS TO
THE STEAM EMITTED DURING THE BOILING. THEREFORE, IF THE APPLIANCE STOPS FOR ANOTHER
REASON, SUCH AS THE RELEASE OF THE SAFETY CUT-OUT FOR WORKING WITHOUT WATER OR THE
UNPLUGGING OF THE APPLIANCE OR A POWER CUT, THE SWITCH WILL STAY ON AND YOU WILL
NEED TO PRESS THE OFF SWITCH ("0"). FOR THIS REASON, IT IS COMPULSORY TO ALWAYS CHECK
IF THE PILOT LIGHT GOES ON WHEN YOU PLUG IN YOUR APPLIANCE AND IF IT DOES, THEN MAKE
THE APPLIANCE WORK NORMALLY WITH WATER IN THE KETTLE TO RESET THE SWITCH OR SWITCH IT
OFF WITH THE OFF SWITCH ("0").
Copies of the I/B. Please reproduce them without any
changes except under special instruction from Team
International BELGIUM. The pages must be reproduced
and folded in order to obtain a booklet A5 (+/- 148.5 mm
width x 210 mm height). When folding, make sure you
keep the good numbering when you turn the pages of
the I/B. Don't change the page numbering. Keep the
language integrity.
