Installing and Removing the Battery

Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the appliance.
a. Take out the used battery with the aid of a sharp object.
b. Install new batteries as seen on drawing and press on the back of the battery.
c. Close the battery compartment cover. Make sure that it is properly placed.

Determination of Weight Unit

This appliance can show weight in British (lb: pound, st: stone) and Metric units (kg:
kilograms).
To switch between metric and English units, you can set the desired weight unit by
pressing the toggle button (D) on the back of the device.

Use of The Appliance

1. Place on a sound and plain surface. (Avoid placing on surfaces like carpet or rug).
2. Gently step on the glass platform. The bascule will be automatically turned on. The value
of your weight will appear on the LCD screen.
3. The value shown on the display will flash at first. Stand still and wait until the value is
steady, until the value is blinking.

Automatic Power-off

When you get off the bascule's glass platform, your weight will be cleared after about 5
seconds on the appliance screen and the it will automatically turn off.

Overload Indicator

The overload indicator will appear on the LCD screen. The appliance's max.
weight capacity is 180kg.
If your weight is more than 180 kg, do not use it to avoid damage.

Low battery Indicator

If the battery power is low, low battery indication appears on LCD screen. In this
case, replace the battery in your device.

Cleaning and Maintenance

• Read the safety instructions carefully during the cleaning process.
• Wait until the appliance switches off automatically.
