LOW-LEVEL OPERATION OF THE ACTIVE SUBWOOFER
The LOW LEVEL INPUT (4) of the active subwoofer is used here. The REMOTE cable is connected
as described in the chapter „CONNECTING TO THE POWER SUPPLY". The LINE output or low-level
subwoofer output of the car radio is connected to the LOW LEVEL INPUT (4) of the active subwoofer
using an RCA cable. The switch (6) is set to „OFF". The high-level input (5) is not used.
HIGH-LEVEL OPERATION OF THE ACTIVE SUBWOOFER (FIGURE 2)
The stereo high-level input (5) of the active subwoofer and the supplied adapter (10) are used here.
Please observe the correct polarity! The active subwoofer can be connected to an amplifi er or to the
speaker outputs of a car radio. The automatic switch-on mechanism of the high-level input is used here to
automatically switch on the subwoofer. The switch (6) must be set to „ON" to enable this; the REM input
(2) is not connected. The low-level inputs (4) are not used.
Important: High AND low-level operation cannot be used simultaneously!
SETTING THE INPUT RESPONSE
The input response can be adjusted to any car radio. Turn the volume control of your radio to the medium
setting and then set the input level control (7) in such a way as to produce a medium, average volume.
This setting normally ensures suffi cient power reserves at an optimum noise voltage interval.
Warning: Reproduce loud test signals for a short time only so as to avoid damage to the speakers.
LOW-PASS FILTER WITH VARIABLE TRANSFER FREQUENCY
Set the desired transfer frequency on the low-pass fi lter control (9). The fi lter should be adjusted to the
sound requirements inside the audio system. The fi lter's edge steepness ensures the precise lowering of
medium and high-frequency ranges.
BASS-BOOST
The bass-boost function (8) is used to increase or equalize the lower bass frequencies.
