4 Power Supply

For power supply, two 1 5 V batteries of size AA
are required
Only insert two batteries of the same type and
always replace both of them
If the transmitter is not in use for a longer period
of time, always remove the batteries to prevent
damage due to battery leakage
1) To open the battery compartment, slightly press
the battery compartment cover (5) at the marking
and pull it downwards
2) Insert the batteries with the positive and negative
poles as indicated in the battery compartment
3) Replace the cover and make sure it engages
Instead of non-rechargeable batteries, two recharge-
able NiMH batteries of size AA can be inserted
Batteries must not be placed in the household
waste To protect the environment, always take
them to a special waste disposal, e g collection
container at your retailer
5 Connecting the Microphone, Attaching
the Transmitter to your Clothes
Connect the microphone provided to the micro-
phone input (2) (To disconnect and remove the
microphone, press the black button to unlock the
mini XLR connector )
When all settings on the transmitter have been
made, use the fastener to attach the microphone
to your clothes (e g lapel, shirt / blouse placket or
tie) and the clip (4) on the rear to attach the pocket
transmitter to your belt or waistband, for example

6 Switching on /off, Muting

To switch on the pocket transmitter, briefly press
the button POWER / MUTE (1) The LED of the button
will indicate the status of the batteries:
green = batteries are sufficiently charged
red
= batteries are almost discharged
To mute the transmitter, briefly press the button
POWER / MUTE The LED of the button will start
flashing in green (or, when the batteries are almost
discharged, alternately in red and green) To unmute
the transmitter, press the button again
To switch off the transmitter, keep the button
POWER / MUTE pressed until the LED of the button
extinguishes
7 Setting the Transmitter via the
Function
The settings (radio frequency, audio sensitivity
− with, if applicable, 20 dB attenuation −, automatic
switch-off, transmission power) are made on the
receiver and are then, triggered by the press of the
button
, transferred to the transmitter via
ultrasound The data sent will be received via the
ultrasonic sensor (3) of the transmitter Once the
data have been successfully transferred, the LED of
the button POWER / MUTE (1) on the transmitter will
light continuously in blue for a few seconds The LED
will start flashing in blue when an error has occurred
during data reception

and on how to transfer data via ultrasound can be
found in chapter 5 or 8 1 of the user instructions
of the receiver
