9.3.5 Cleaning the Dosing Unit
IMPORTANT: Follow directions in section "Safety
Information".
1. Go into "Self-test" on the display and set "Dosing
Cylinder Valve" to "On".
2. Turn off the machine with the power switch (see
figure below, position 14).
3. Disconnect the compressed air hose to the machine
at the main feed (see figure in "Cleaning the Upper
Vessel", position 7).
4. Loosen all compressed air hoses to the dosing unit
(see figure below, position 16).

5. Loosen the compressed air hoses at the quick
couplings to the cylinder (position 17).

6. Fit the end position sensors on the cylinder
(position 18) and note their orientation and position
relative to the sensor fittings (use in step 15).
7. Unscrew all wing nuts from the dispenser (position
19).
8. Lift the dispenser straight up. Note that there may
still be residual flocculation powder in the tube
(position 20).
9. Empty out any remaining flocculation powder and
make sure that none is left in the tube. Clean the
tube if necessary.
10. Then clean the dosing unit with the brush provided.
11. Note that the tray in the dosing unit can be set
manually in different positions in order to clean the
entire dispenser.
12. Make sure the dosing unit is dry before refitting.
13. Make sure all gaskets and O-rings are in place
before the dosing unit is refitted (see exploded
view below).
14. Tighten the wing nuts.
15. Reinstall the end position sensors.
16. Connect all compressed air hoses.
