Facilities
Your colour CD9000 has the following facilities:
DIRECT-DRIVE (DD), AUTO-IRIS, WHITE
BALANCE (W.BAL), BACK LIGHT
COMPENSATION (BLC), GAMMA, AUTOMATIC
GAIN CONTROL (AGC), ELECTRONIC IRIS (EI),
LINE-LOCK - FIX or with PHASE ADJUST (LL-PH),
INTERNAL SYNC and SHUTTER SPEED.
Function and Speed Switches
Beside the DD-socket on the side of your CD9000 is a hinged-flap. The hinged-flap
covers a lens-level pot, 2 white-balance pots, 8 function switches and 4 shutter speed
switches.
NOTE: Refer to the label inside the flap to set the functions.
W.BAL (White Balance)
Select AUTO or MAN using the W.BAL switch. AUTO automatically adjusts the
white balance. MAN allows you to manually adjust the white balance by turning the
Red (R) and Blue (B) MAN WB (Manual White Balance) pots using an appropriate
screwdriver.
BLC (Back Light Compensation)
Compensates for back-lit scenes, brings out details of objects which would previously
have been in silhouette. Select ON or OFF using the BLC switch.
GAM (Gamma)
Select 0.45 (increased visibility in dark areas of picture) or 0.8 (normal) using the
GAM switch.
AGC (Automatic Gain Control)
Makes the picture clearer in poor lighting conditions. Select ON or OFF using the
AGC switch.
EI (Electronic Iris)
Compensates for light level by adjusting shutter speed from 1/50s to 1/100000s, and
disables the shutter speed switches. Select ON or OFF using the EI switch.
SYNC (Synchronisation)
Select LL or INT using the SYNC switch. LL (Line-Lock) locks the frame rate to the
mains. INT locks the frame rate to your CD9000s own internal oscillator.
LL-PH (Line Lock, Phase Adjust)
Select FIX or ADJ using the LL PH switch. Both settings are line-locked, the ADJ
setting allows ±120° adjustment (on the rear of your CD9000).
