3.4 MAINS POWER CONNEXION
Recommendations :
• the battery charger must be plugged into a 3 pole mains with earth,
protected by a residual current protection device (RCD 30mA).
• in geographic zones exposed to a high risk of lightning strikes, it may
berecommended to fit a lightning protection to the inlet side of the
charger.
• to limit the risk of electromagnetic interference, please make sure that :
- The length of the cables and screening connections are kept as
short as possible.
- separate the power supply cables from output cables.
- cables must only carry the charger power supply. Branching
or bridging connections in order to supply other equipment is
not allowed.
Note : Damage caused by lightning strike or power surges are not covered
by TECSUP warranty.
All TECSUP chargers are fitted with sacrificial surge protection devices
(MOV). These limit the damage caused by voltage spikes and their
replacement is not covered by warranty.
3.5 LED DISPLAY
The 2 colour led fitted on the lower plate gives an indication of the state
of the charger :
- red : on until the battery is not fully charged (BOOST and
ABSORPTION phases). See technical details on page 13.
- green : shows the battery is fully charged and the charger is
on the FLOAT mode.
