Quick Start-up of Omron RX Frequency Converter
Initial Start-up with Elektror Basic Parameterisation
1. Check for damage and that the power supply voltage corresponds with the converter data.
2. Proper installation, electrical connection, shielding and potential equalisation of the blower/side channel blower and
frequency converter with an EMC footprint filter and accessory parts, if necessary, according to the respective installation/

3. Establish a proper connection of the PTC resistor sensor (TP) or temperature monitor break contact (TB) of the blower/side
channel blower to the frequency converter control terminals „TH" and „CM1" according to the respective installation/operating
instructions.

4. Before the first and any subsequent start-up of the unit, carefully check that it is in a proper condition.

5. Switch on the mains power supply.
6. Check / test the proper operation of the PTC resistor sensor input circuit:
ATTENTION!
If the PTC input is not enabled and/or its correct function is not tested in the final application, the frequency
converter may not recognise any excess winding temperature or wire breakage in the PTC circuit that may
occur during operation as an error and therefore not trigger a safety shut-off. The unit/system could be da-
maged as a result.
PTC FUNCTIONAL TEST!
If there is no proper PTC resistor sensor or temperature sensor contact connected at low resistance between
the input terminals TH and CM1, the frequency converter must indicate an excess temperature error with the
message „E35_" on the display. The unit must only be re-started when the motor has „cooled down" or the
PTC sensor is connected at low resistance and the error is acknowledged with the „Stop/Reset" button. If
necessary, correct Omron RX parameters b098 = 1 and b099 = 3000.
7. After pressing the button
sage is active and a setpoint value >0 Hz is logged in parameter F001. Then the impeller will accelerate according to the
programmed run-up time on the setpoint value logged in parameter F001.
8. Check and, if necessary, seek an expert to correct the direction of rotation when the unit is disconnected from the mains.
