Teach in
Standard Setting (for light-on switching only):
Light-on means the sensor's output is active as soon as
the object is detected. Background and foreground are
excluded.
1. Position the object you wish to detect.
2. Press and hold down the SET button until the
bicoloured LED goes out.
3. Release the SET button and wait for the bicoloured
LED to turn green. The sensor is now ready.
Fine setting (for light-on or dark-on switching):
The fine setting is used to teach the detection range over
which the object is supposed to be sensed. The sensor
learns the shortest and longest distance to the object
(lower and upper limit).
Light-on and dark-on require different calibration
procedures.
A. Calibration procedure for light-on:
1. Position the object you wish to detect at the nearest
operating distance (Fig. 4).
2. Press and hold down the SET button until the
bicoloured LED flashes green.
3. Release the SET button.
4. Position the object you wish to detect at the farest
operating distance (Fig. 4).
5. Press and hold down the SET button until the
bicoloured LED goes out.
6. Release the SET button. The sensor is now ready.
B. Calibration procedure for dark-on:
1. Position the object you wish to detect at the farest
operating distance (Fig. 4).
2. Press and hold down the SET button until the
bicoloured LED flashes green.
3. Release the SET button
4. Position the object you wish to detect at the nearest
operating distance (Fig. 4).
5. Press and hold down the SET button until the
bicoloured LED goes out.
6. Release the SET button. The sensor is now ready.
